Update:David Ortiz knows he didn't perform to his standards last season and vows to come back next year and put up the kind of numbers the Red Sox expect from Big Papi.Ortiz say's ,"'I've got to be a force." He is entering the final year of a 4 year $52 mil deal that has a club option for $12.5 mil after next year.Ortiz has made it clear he wants to end his career in Boston. He told John Tomase of the Boston Herald, " 'I want to finish my career here.I think I still have another three or four good years in me.All I know is last year I had the worst two months of my career and still almost ended up at 30 and 100.'

Fantasy Impact: Big Papi did indeed have 28 HR's and 99RBI's last year, but those numbers went along with a .238 BA,.332 OBP,.462 SLG%,and an OPS of .794, all well below his career average.If he is to have his continued fantasy value all of those numbers must draw closer to his career norms. Expect Ortiz to improve on last years numbers and draft him accordingly.
